Raymond Blanc to Open Two Cheshire Restaurants

Brasserie Bar Co, the restaurant group founded by Raymond Blanc, is to launch two new openings in Cheshire this year.

A spokesperson for the group has confirmed that it has acquired two former Loch Fyne sites in Knutsford and Alderley Edge. The premises will open as a Brasserie Blanc restaurant and a White Brasserie gastropub respectively, later this year.

In February, the group disclosed that it expected to add another two sites to its 17-strong portfolio later this year.

Speaking at the time of the announcement, Mark Derry, CEO of Brasserie Bar Co, said there was "huge potential for further sites" across both its restaurant and gastropub brands.

The announcement comes following a major re-brand of the group's venues in a bid to modernise and attract younger customers to the restaurants.

As well as overseeing the creative direction of the menus at Brasserie Blanc, Raymond Blanc also runs Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons, his two Michelin-starred hotel and restaurant in Oxfordshire.
