New plans have been submitted to Cheshire East Council asking for permission to convert a former Wilmslow chapel into twelve modern apartments.
A new planning application for The White House on 180-186 Wilmslow Road has been submitted by Architectural Practice Maydean Design, who plan to convert the Grade II listed building into 2 two-bedroom and 10 one-bedroom apartments. Mr A Harrison is currently in the process of purchasing the property from The White House's previous applicants.
The plans include requests to repair and rebuild part of the chapel by replacing windows and doors, remove some listed trees and build a two-storey extension to the rear. The proposal is mainly focused over two floors, however, there are plans to use the roof space to create second floor accommodation.
Incidentally, permission was granted by the council last year to repair and rebuild part of the chapel in order for seven apartments to be created.
