Planning applications for two Aldi-led developments for Denbighshire and Cheshire East have been submitted to the relevant councils.
Liberty Properties, in conjunction with the advice of the Manchester planning team at JLL, has submitted two Aldi-led developments totalling 52,500 sq ft to Denbighshire County Council and Cheshire East Council. The proposals cover retail development projects at the Station Yard site in Denbigh and the Manor Business Park in Holmes Chapel.
Emyr Williams, development director at Liberty Properties, said:
"The developments will drive inward investment and job opportunities in Denbigh and Holmes Chapel. In addition, with the end result offering greater shopping convenience to the towns we've already received a positive response to the proposals from the communities."
Joanna Gabrilatsou, planning and development director at JLL, said:
"These schemes will help regenerate previously underused sites in both of these areas and vastly improve the towns' retail choices, something which both of these communities have called out for."
Both schemes will be anchored by Aldi, which is set to occupy nearly 20,000 sq ft at each site, with construction work commencing in early 2016 if approved.
