Newlyweds Andrew Bloomfield and Ruth Driskell were being driven to their wedding reception in Ohio when the vehicle they were in veered off the road and crashed.
The bride was left in a critical condition and the groom died in hospital.
Two other passengers were also in the vehicle including the groom's friend, Elizabeth Shelton, who died in the car crash. Driver Timothy Tebbe was left critically injured.
The Sheriff's officer said, "The truck had steered off the road and hit an embankment before hitting a pole and rolling over several times."
All four passengers, who were on their way to the wedding reception, were thought not to be wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
The groom Andrew wrote a Facebook status, before the crash had happened, sharing his thoughts about the wedding, said, "I never thought I would find that person to settle down with but I guess I just got lucky. Soon I will be a married man."
