Increase in first time buyer mortgages

April & May have seen a promising growth in the numbers of first time buyers entering the property market. This is due in part to lenders offering more attractive mortgage rates and better high loan-to-value offers.

Last month the Government introduced the Help To Buy Scheme which has been designed to help those purchasing new build properties.

Developers are already reporting that this is increasing demands for property which in turn could certainly result in an increase in lending.
