Lecturers from Sheffield College are preparing for further strike action if disputes over job cuts continues.
Members of the University and College Union warned further strikes could take place if a dispute over job cuts isn't resolved. This comes after a second walkout at Sheffield College, which employs more than 2,000 members of staff, over 13 compulsory redundancies made earlier this year after initially planning to cut 75 jobs.
John Giddins, regional organiser for the University and College Union, said:
"Today is about a further round of cuts and redundancies. It is also about the introduction of lower-paid, lower-skilled and possibly unqualified people to teach the children and adults of Sheffield.
"It is a crucial fight to maintain quality and standards for the people of Sheffield."
Campuses at Sheffield College remained open during the walkout but some lessons were cancelled at sites in Sheffield City Centre, Hillsborough, Norton and Crystal Peaks.
