The delivery of Probate services has generally come under significant pressure and solicitors have needed to respond to this, without damaging the very personal nature of the work involved.

Following our recent major investment, we are now able to offer our e-probate service which simply automates the vast majority of the document generation for the work and allows us to charge purely against the work involved, whereby we can provide the clients with a detailed breakdown. Quite simply, you only pay for what you have.  
 

Traditionally, solicitors have charged on the basis of a percentage of the overall value of the estate and in certain instances, just because an estate is apparently of high value, it does not necessarily follow that it is therefore overly complex. On the reverse of this, a small estate can in fact prove to be far more complex and indeed require further work.
 

To overcome this, as we have traditionally charged on the basis of around 2 to 3 per cent of the overall value of the estate, we now have a simple offer for our clients. When instructing Lee Chadwick to carry out probate work, we will now do both systems of valuing the work and the client simply pays for the lesser amount.
