Toys R Us has recalled thousands of infant toys over the risk that some of the pieces could detach and cause a choking hazard.
The recall, which involves the Bruin Infant Wiggle Ball, comes after six reports of rubber knobs breaking off in the US. These cases include four in which pieces of the product were found in children's mouths.
Although the recall first appeared on the company's US website, the Wiggle Ball is a global item and has been removed from UK stores, Toys R Us confirmed.
The Wiggle Ball has textured bumps for gripping, with orange, green and yellow knobs around the surface. It wiggles, vibrates, and plays a variety of musical tunes.
A notice posted on the Toys R Us website said:
"The wiggle ball's rubber knobs and plastic back can detach from the ball creating a small part, posing a choking hazard.
"Consumers should immediately take the recalled Wiggle ball from babies and return the product to Babies'R' Us or Toys'R' Us for a refund."
