Affordable Housing Application for Ashton-Under-Lyne

An affordable housing development application featuring a mix of new houses and apartments has been proposed and submitted to Tameside Council.

HOW Planning, a specialist planning and environmental consultancy in the North of England, has submitted an outline application for a housing development of 51 affordable homes in Greater Manchester. The homes are to be built on a former industrial brownfield site in Ashton-Under-Lyne on behalf of Dovetail Land & Development and Rock Asset Management.

The former employment area has been vacant for some time and conveniently borders existing residential accommodation. HOW's application, which has been submitted to Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, proposes the development of additional affordable housing to compliment the surrounding residential area and, if the application is successful, the development will be handled by New Charter Housing Association.
