Jessica Lawson originally from West Yorkshire was 12 years old when she went away on a school trip to France in 2015 never to return.
Tragically she lost her life whilst swimming when a pontoon in a lake near Limoges overturned.
Her parents, Tony and Brenda Lawson were finally able to put and end to their suffering after a court of Appeal Judge declared that a 30 year old swimming supervisor Leo Lemaire who was on duty at the time was responsible for manslaughter.
The defendant was sentenced to an 8 month suspended jail term and fined £17,000.
Jessica's parents emigrated to Portugal shortly after the Tragedy.
