Savings on Inheritance tax

On the 31^st May Harold Book, Partner, retired from the practice. Harold and Edwin have worked together on and off for over 30 years and we all wish him a very happy retirement. Harold will still be working as a locum for Ross Legal and can be contacted via the Prestwich office.

On another note, if you are looking on making savings on inheritance tax time is of the essence. There is a way of saving inheritance tax by lifetime giving into Pilot Trusts. It may be that this loophole will be closed this autumn hence single persons or married couples and civil partners should consider taking advice where their assets as a single person exceed £325,000 and a couple £650,000.
 

Remember that the value of your house is to be included in that calculation.
