With house prices throughout the country seeing a sharp increase, there is a town in the north of England that the property market seems to have forgotten.
Doncaster, it is reported, is unable to move houses at the same pace as the rest as the rest of the country and with rock-bottom prices, the market takes one step forward and two back.
Property experts fear for the town's prospects as house prices have slumped lower than they were ten years ago and have just not recovered as well as neighbouring areas.
As many family homes in Doncaster sit un-sold at less than the £100,000 price tag, incredibly, a three bedroomed semi-detached can be snapped up for as little as £69,950.
As a recent report published by Zoopla shows that the property boom is spreading North, the trend is not catching on in this South Yorkshire town.
When a Daily Mail reporter visited the market town of Doncaster, they expected to find run-down properties and tired looking marketing. Instead they found smart terraced homes and immaculately manicured lawns.
Speaking to a member of staff at Reeds Rains in the town, Lesley Harris-Newstead has 12 years' property experience locally and told reporters, "Houses here are not easy to sell. They have to be priced right to stand a chance".
