A former Courthouse which has stood in the heart of London for 300 years looks set to make a fortune as it goes on the market for £14.5million.

Current owners, Graham and Sylvia Bourne are on target to make a bumper £10million profit if the property achieves it's asking price.
The forward thinking couple bought the building in 1998 for £2.8 million, spending two million pounds painstakingly renovating the former jailhouse.
Many of the original features can still be seen in the property including the stained glass windows and grand fireplace which sits proudly in the elegant lounge.
If the walls could speak, they would tell tales of highway robbers and petty criminals held in chains on trial before being shipped to the penal colonies. Criminals were led from the courthouse through the streets to boats moored on the River Thames.
If legend is to be believed, there was even thought to have been a secret passageway beneath the courthouse leading to the Thames for the most dangerous of prisoners.
On the market with London estate agents, Russell Simpson, the property will attract a mammoth £1million stamp duty fee for the prospective buyer but promises a unique home for a large family.
