Earlier this year an enquiry into PIP breast implants was held after it was discovered that the French manufactured implants contained industrial grade silicone.
The results of the enquiry claimed that the risk to the women involved was very low.
Since then an article in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine has made claims that the silicone contained a substance that may have a harmful effect on foetal development. The concerns raised have been supported by BAAPS (the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) whose director Rajiv Grover believes that these implants should be removed.
If you are one of the 47,000 UK women who have had PIP breast implants and are concerned, our team of medical negligence lawyers at BLV Law in Stourport and Halesowen would like to hear from you. We can handle your claim in a professional and sensitive manner.
