Birmingham Deafness Solicitors

Since the Noise at Work Act 1989 was introduced, strict health and safety regulations were put in place to make the workplace a much safer place than in previous years.

As well as these rules, advanced technology and quieter machinery meant that workplaces were less noisy and industrial deafness became rarer.

Before these rules were put in place, thousands of workers were affected by industrial deafness. Employees were put at risk in many industrial jobs particularly; coal mining, manufacturing or factory environments and engineering, anywhere that noisy machinery was used.

Workers who were subject to noisy machinery after a prolonged period of time would after time, show signs of hearing loss, tinnitus, and on some occasions complete loss of hearing in one or both ears.

If you or someone you know has developed industrial or occupational deafness or your hearing has deteriorated due to a noisy working environment, it is important you seek legal advice from an experienced solicitor.

Birmingham Solicitors, BLV Law, are specialists in Noise Induced Hearing Loss and can help you claim compensation for your injuries.

Remember there are strict time limits to make any claim; therefore please contact one of our team if you have any concerns.

After an initial chat about your circumstances, we will advise you whether or not you have a valid claim for compensation.
