Birmingham Solicitor killed in Tunisia

The wife of a Birmingham Solicitor, herself a lawyer, is thought to have been killed in Tunisia.

Sally Adey had been visiting the Bardo Archaelogocial museum in Tunis, the countries capital, as part of a cruise holiday. Mrs Adey was part of a group of nine passengers who had gone ashore to visit the museum and she is thought to be one of 23 people believed to have been killed. Her husband is unharmed.

The attack has been linked to suspected terrorists and happened after the Cruise Ship MSC Splendida docked in La Goulette, Tunisia.

The 57 year old mother of two was described as a, "much-loved daughter, wife and mother". A family friend commented, "The family are devastated by her loss. They are also saddened for others who have lost people they love and for those who have been hurt."

Neighbour Terry Holmes said: "It is just a massive shock. Sally mentioned to me she was going on a cruise with Rob (her husband) and was really looking forward to it. She was a lovely woman, a talented solicitor and devoted to Rob, Harry and Molly. I dread to think what they are going through at the moment."

A statement from the Cruise line (MSC Cruises) read, "Sally's husband is receiving support from the MSC Cruises customer care team in Tunis and we will be offering all possible support to him and his family."
