Since the BBC injected new life into Salford with its relocation to Media City in 2011, the area has become a property hotspot.
As the Salford Quays area has been regenerated, property prices have reportedly risen by 12% in the last six months, making this the highest percentage rise so far in the country in 2014.
In stark contrast, at the other end of the country, the once burgeoning area of Wadebridge in Cornwall has seen properties plummet by more than £7K.
With around 2,500 BBC staff relocating to Salford's Media City, BBC Breakfast and Match of The Day now boast this increasingly affluent area as their home.
The Manchester suburb plays host to high profile BBC Executives and presenters and has attracted a large-scale decentralisation from its former London home.
Zoopla spokesman, Lawrence Hall told the Daily Mail, "Over the past few years Salford has prospered from job creation in the area, which has helped boost the property market".
He went on to say, "Property price growth has largely been a London and South-East story until recently, so it is very encouraging to see the house price recovery broadening and the ripple effect starting to take hold further north".
Figures show that the average house price in Britain has increased by £90 per day and Salford looks set to lead the march.
