Our news items tend to be factored around the news items affecting the legal sector but we've taken this opportunity to concentrate on Covid- 19, more commonly known as the Coronavirus.
The virus is affecting courts, the property sector, and the wider legal profession and as such we have listed, below, the advice provided by the Government and the National Health Service (NHS).
The current official guidance provided by the NHS states that people should only leave their homes for the following reasons:
-
Shopping for basic necessities such as food and medicine.
-
One form of exercise such as a walk, run or cycle.
-
A medical need for themselves or to assist the vulnerable.
-
Travelling to work if such work absolutely can not be done from home.
Furthermore the following list represents the guidance issued on the NHS website, in March 2020, to help reduce the risk of catching the virus.
Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water. Do this often.
Use hand sanitiser if soap and water are not available.
When you cough or sneeze you should cover your mouth and nose (not with your hands).
Use tissues, or your sleeve, when you cough or sneeze. Dispose of the tissues and immediately wash your hands.
If your hands are not clean you should not touch your nose, mouth or eyes.
In the event you are showing signs of the coronavirus (high temperature or a new continuous cough) you should call the 111 service.
This is clearly a difficult time for all, both in the home countries and globally, and we wish everyone well.
