House prices rise again, July figures show.

Since the rise in the UK housing market this year, new figures show that house prices have also risen again.
 

An average house price now stands at £168,941, an increase of 0.3% since May this year. Compared to the previous year, the average house price has risen by 1.9%.

Chief economist at Nationwide, Robert Gardner, has mentioned that the increase could be down to the government's Funding for Lending scheme which has helped make credit cheaper and mortgages more available to first time buyers.

The number of people buying a house without a mortgage has also steadily risen, according to some UK Conveyancing providers. It was recorded that almost a quarter of clients are cash buyers.
