Altrincham's canalside is set to be transformed with two huge residential developments.
Plans have been submitted by Manchester-based property firm Regency Residential for a 99-apartment development alongside Bridgewater Canal on Wharf Road.
The scheme will include a mix of one, two and three-bed apartments alongside six two-bed townhouses. The complex will also feature 104 car parking spaces, 99 cycle spaces, and an internal courtyard.
Meanwhile, Maya Property Developments and Generation Ltd, have submitted proposals for a 48 unit development on the site of the former Rileys Snooker Club opposite Altrincham Retail Park.
Maya's £11m vision is for a mixture of one and two-bedroom apartments with ground floor parking and cycle spaces.
The scheme also features angled windows to allow a view along the canal, south-facing balconies, communal terraces, and a landscaped courtyard.
Sanjeev Mehan, founder of Maya Property Developments, said:
"Altrincham is a fantastic location with a strong residential demand and great transport links. My team at Maya Property recognised the opportunity to actively contribute to the existing developments in the area. The site is in a location which had been overlooked in the past but with improvements to the canal path, a new bridge planned, nearby parks and the improving retail/leisure offering nearby, this is changing quickly."
