Driving This Winter

Car accidents don't only happen in icy conditions, but it doesn't help once it gets to Winter.

The Met Office has issued weather warnings as icy weather is set to cover England over the following few weeks.

Freezing temperatures and frosty nights are coming! The AA's, Keith Miller suggests you;

 sweep all the snow before driving

 make sure you allow plenty of space between yourself and other vehicles

 avoid high revs

 use as high a gear as possible when driving in icy conditions

The Chief Examiner with the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), has advised that drivers should only venture out, in snow & ice, if the journey is essential.

The AA are reminding drivers that you can always put your car through a pre-winter check so any potential problems are flagged up before the harsh weather comes.
