Jo is an Employment Solicitor with extensive experience advising both employers and employees on all aspects of employment law.  

 

She joined Eversheds as a trainee in 1999 and specialised in employment law on qualification. She was later promoted to Associate. 

 

Jo joined the Heaton Moor office of Almond Solicitors in September 2015 to head up the Employment Team.  Since then she has been using her extensive experience to advise both local businesses and individuals about a range of employment issues. 

 

She advises employers on all aspects of the employment relationship including: drafting contracts of employment and executive service agreements, providing strategic advice regarding redundancy situations and corporate transactions, disciplinary and grievance issues and the dismissal of employees including settlement agreements. She manages employment litigation claims on a range of matters including unfair dismissal, collective issues and discrimination claims. 

 

Jo also advises employees about on-going employment issues, potential tribunal claims and settlement agreements. She provides practical and solution focussed advice to meet the commercial needs of the client. 

 

Jo has delivered many training sessions including public courses and bespoke client training and

is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, the Manchester Law Society and the Four Heatons Traders Association.
