A young mum who confronted a gang of children causing a nuisance in the early hours of the morning was left 'pouring with blood' after they threw a brick at her head.
Olivia Sullivan's car windscreen was also smashed, and the bonnet dented, after she asked the teenagers to stop shouting abuse, kicking bins, and smashing bottles at 3.30am.
The incident happened when Olivia, 22, confronted the 17 and 18-year-olds outside her home in Droylsden last Saturday.
She says other neighbours had already called the police and been out to speak to the youths on several occasions. When Olivia and her partner took matters into their own hands, one boy responded by jumping on her car, smashing her windscreen.
As she chased off the culprit and returned to her home, another youth threw a brick, leaving her with a cut across the back of her head. She was taken to hospital where medics glued the cut together. Olivia said:
"They are a group of thugs who have been here before. They were making so much noise and nearly everyone on this estate has children that were sleeping."
She added:
"I hope that the parents of these children are disgraced by their behaviour. It is completely unacceptable."
